My name is John Quincy Reddic Jr. I go by Quincy. I was born and raised in Sweetwater, TX. Moved to San Angelo, TX for college where I received my Bachelors in Management Information Systems in 2014. I also got a certificate/minor in cybersecurity and criminology during those 4 years at Angelo State University. I then got a job as a Computer Technician and promoted up to a Network Engineer for an MSP company. After 5 years there and gaining multiple certifications I finally got my foot in the door for Cybersecurity and landed with Federal Resources Corporation.
What do you enjoy about your job?
I love this job because I feel like I'm making a difference working with vital devices and instruments that affect people's day to day lives. I love how there is so much to learn and so many directions to grow skill and career wise.
What is your current role?
I'm currently a Cybersecurity Specialist II at Federal Resources Corporation. I've had the opportunity to work with Army Medcom and DHA CyberLog on improving the Risk Management Framework process. Everything I have worked on has been completely new to me and very exciting to learn.
What are your future plans?
My future plans include attaining the CASP and CEH certification and my Masters in Cybersecurity. Other than that, I plan to soak up everything I can and expand my skillset in every way.
