Born and raised in Silver Spring, MD, Ado remained in the area until college, where he attended Montgomery College, studying International Business. In his final semester at MC, Ado's mother informed him that her employer (The IMF) would pay for him to go to school overseas. Ado began inquiring about schools in other countries and soon found a fit in Melbourne, Australia where he attended La Trobe University in 2013.
He added a minor in MIS (Management Information Systems), although originally having minimal interest in working in IT. Fast forward to 2016, he completed his course work and began his Masters in International Business with hopes of making the most of his educational sponsorship that would end after his 24th birthday.
In October of 2017, his four and a half year journey came to an end and he returned to Maryland where he began work as an IT contractor, working as an Implementation Specialist and as a Software Tester. IT felt like a natural transition as Ado always loved tech, and understood it was becoming the way of the world more and more as time continued on.
What do you enjoy about your job?
I love that my job allows me to learn more and more about things that can affect my day to day life.
What is your current role?
I currently serve as a Cybersecurity Analyst at Federal Resources Corporation. I have had the opportunity to work on the Deloitte contract, which was an inspiring first step into the CS universe, where I learned about different key technologies and certifications. This made me hungry for knowledge. I made up my mind to pursue CompTIA’s Security+ cert, a feat i was recently able to accomplish after a couple months of studying with friends and co-workers.
What are your future plans?
My future plans include completing a TEFL, AWS CSAA, and my Scrum Master Certification, before i hit the IT marketplace.
